🎉AOAIPA Participates in Buddha’s Light Festival with Free Acupuncture Clinic to Serve the Community
On Sunday, June 22, 2025, the annual Buddha’s Light Three Acts of Goodness Festival was held with great enthusiasm at Fo Guang Shan New York Temple. Despite a heavy downpour early that morning, the rain did not dampen the public’s spirited participation. Centered on the theme “Do Good Deeds, Speak Good Words, Think Good Thoughts,” the event brought together city officials, medical institutions, nonprofit organizations, and residents to practice and promote positive values.

The Acupuncture of America Independent Practice Association (AOAIPA) was honored to be invited to the event, where it established a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) service station offering free community acupuncture consultations and treatments. The volunteer team was composed of licensed acupuncturists Keping Du, Xue Li, Ke Zhang, and Libiao Jiao. The team provided on-site health assessments, acupuncture therapy, and personalized wellness advice.
Over a hundred attendees from across the region—including some from out of state—visited the AOAIPA booth to experience the service. The clinic was conducted in a professional and orderly manner, receiving wide acclaim from the community.
The goal of this outreach was to enhance public understanding and trust in acupuncture by integrating traditional meridian theory with modern medical perspectives. The team introduced the benefits of acupuncture in relieving chronic conditions and promoting both physical and mental well-being. This event also provided valuable experience in integrating Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) into the community health service system.
In addition to the acupuncture clinic, the festival featured municipal information booths, medical consultations, charity sales, and various interactive activities, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.
An AOAIPA spokesperson stated: “Our goal is not only to provide immediate health support but also to deepen the public’s appreciation of the true value of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture is not just a therapeutic technique—it is a medical wisdom that emphasizes mind-body balance and encourages a healthy lifestyle. We are proud to uphold the festival’s spirit of the ‘Three Acts of Goodness’ by serving the community, caring for individuals, and helping all those in need.”May health and warmth reach all who need it, regardless of faith or ethnicity. We are honored to walk this path together
This event successfully demonstrated the professionalism and practicality of Traditional Chinese Medicine, further promoting its integration and recognition within the multicultural fabric of the local community.
