
AOAIPA Hosts Legislative Progress Briefing & Appreciation Reception for the New York State Acupuncture Healthcare Accessibility Bill

On June 14, 2026, the Acupuncture of America Independent Practice Association (AOAIPA) hosted the Legislative Progress Briefing & Appreciation Reception for the New York State Acupuncture Healthcare Accessibility Bill (A622/S5955B) in Flushing, New York. The event brought together leaders from the acupuncture profession, educational institutions, healthcare organizations, community organizations, elected officials, and supporters to celebrate a significant milestone in advancing acupuncture legislation in New York State.

The program reviewed the legislative journey of Bills A622/S5955B, from their introduction and advocacy efforts to their successful passage by both the New York State Assembly and the New York State Senate. AOAIPA also expressed its sincere appreciation to the elected officials, industry representatives, and community partners whose continued support helped advance this landmark legislation. During the event, AOAIPA presented Appreciation Awards to several elected officials in recognition of their outstanding leadership and contributions to expanding access to acupuncture care throughout New York State.
