Who we are
We are first and foremost an acupuncture-focused organization. The AOAIPA Board, alongside our expert committees and acupuncture specialists, are deeply involved in high-level managed care decision-making processes to ensure the delivery of top-quality patient care in the most economical way possible.
Our IPA board members and staff provide a range of educational and advocacy opportunities to support the needs of IPA practices effectively. In collaboration with health plan staff, our network management group works diligently every day to address issues and educate on policies and programs. Strategically, the IPA is dedicated to developing a network of Value-Added Service partners. These partners are selected to provide products and services tailored to the evolving needs of IPA expert practices, preparing them for the future of medical practice.

Our Goal & Mission: AOAIPA actively collaborates with various health insurance companies in New York State to include more acupuncture treatments under insurance coverage. We aim to enhance the status of acupuncturists in the healthcare industry and increase insurance reimbursement rates.
AOAIPA provides members with education and training, regularly organizing seminars, workshops, and continuing education courses. Additionally, we offer legal consultations, career development guidance, and a resource-sharing platform to support our members' professional growth.
With a strong professional administrative team and extensive medical insurance connections, AOAIPA is committed to helping licensed acupuncturists gain more opportunities and higher professional recognition. We assist our members in becoming in-network special contract acupuncturists with health insurance companies, enjoying better reimbursement rates than the market standard.
