TJ•LI is the Founder of the Acupuncture of America Independent Practice Association (AOAIPA), a Chinese American entrepreneur, and a long-standing advocate for social and community development. For decades, he has been dedicated to advancing the coordinated growth of business development, community building, and public health initiatives.

TJ immigrated to the United States in 1991 and entered the business sector in 1993. He went on to found and operate multiple enterprises, gaining extensive experience in corporate management, organizational operations, and cross-sector collaboration. In 1999, he was elected President of the U.S.A. Jiangzhe Chamber of Commerce & Industry. In 2021, he founded the Alliance of Asian American Friends, an organization through which he continues to promote community development and multicultural cooperation.

Over the past two decades, TJ has been deeply engaged in public service and community affairs, organizing and leading numerous initiatives with significant social impact. His work has fostered dialogue and mutual understanding among diverse ethnic communities, while also supporting the development of public-interest and civic initiatives. His sustained contributions have earned recognition and commendations from government agencies and various sectors of society.

Guided by his personal experience and a strong belief in the unique value of acupuncture in health management, TJ has continuously advocated for the standardized development and broader social recognition of acupuncture. He actively promotes its appropriate integration into the healthcare system, with the goal of enabling more individuals and communities to benefit from acupuncture services.

Xuhui Li

David Xuhui Li, graduated from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine in 1987, and practiced Chinese medicine in Taishan City Hospital of TCM, worked in New York City Hospital as a certified surgical technologist, the acupuncture professor in the American International Acupuncture Institute. David Xuhui Li has practiced acupuncture and Chinese medicine in New York City for over 25 years. David Xuhui Li was the president of the United Alliance of NY State Licensed Acupuncturists and chairman of the American Alliance for Professional Acupuncture Safety. He is now a chairman of the advisors board of the United Alliance of NYS Licensed Acupuncturists, an Executive Committee member of the Presidium in the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Society, the 2021 executive chairman of the World Federation of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Society (WFAS) and the, chief director of membership verification committee of WFAS. David Xuhui Li is a pioneer in bringing acupuncturists into the mainstream New York State No-Fault and Worker’s Compensation facilities in the late 1990s. David Xuhui Li was awarded a gold medal of The President’s Volunteer Service Award from the President of the United States in June 2021.

KePing Du

Dr. Du has been a Licensed Acupuncturist in private practice for more than 24 years in New York, where she manages the health care of patients with Acupuncture in Manhattan, Queens, and Long Island. She was the Vice President of the United Alliance of NYS Licensed Acupuncturists, the past Director of Insurance of UANYSLA, and the past Treasurer of UANYSLA.

Before joining AOAIPA, Dr. Du served many years as the Chief Financial Officer at a medical device company licensed under Medicare and Medicaid. She is proficient in Medicare and Medicaid policies and guidelines governing the healthcare system. In addition to her extensive experience, she possesses multiple state licenses in health and life insurance, providing her with comprehensive knowledge of the relevant laws and regulations in financial and fiscal management.

She has worked for many years in various New York City community health facilities, providing health care services to the community, including the Rehabilitation Department at North General Hospital, the Far Rockaway Nursing Home, and the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, which provides home care to patients.

She is a former Board Director of the first Head Acupuncture Professional Committee of the World Federation of Acupuncture & Moxibustion Societies and the former Board director of the third Standing Committee of Orthopedics and Traumatology Professional Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies.

Dr. Du is a Senior Researcher at the Integrative & Optimized Medicine Research Center of China-US Institute for Acupuncture and Rehabilitation, Wenzhou Medical University. Dr. Du graduated from The Tri-States College of Acupuncture with bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Acupuncture; and graduated from the Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine with PhD in Combination Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Rehabilitation. Dr. Du is a NCCAOM BOARD-CERTIFIED Licensed Acupuncturist. In 2012, Dr. Du obtained the International Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctorate (CMD) license from the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies. Dr. Du studied under Professor Jin Zhang(张缙), the lineage representative of Acupuncture & Moxibustion of Traditional Chinese Medicine, As inscribed in the UNESCO Human Intangible Cultural Heritage List of Masterpiece, and accepted Dr. Du as his disciple and lineage successor in 2013.

Xue Li

Dr. Li, Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Licensed Acupuncturist in New York State, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioner, and NCCAOM-certified Oriental Medicine Diplomate. She currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Acupuncture of America Independent Practice Association (AOAIPA) and the Clinical Teaching Director at the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (NYCTCM). With her exceptional leadership and industry insights, Dr. Li leads her team in driving innovation and development in the acupuncture field, expanding market influence, enhancing community awareness of acupuncture’s efficacy, and striving to standardize and professionalize acupuncture therapy for a broader audience.

Dr. Li graduated with distinction from the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (NYCTCM), earning both a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and a Master’s degree in Chinese Herbal Medicine. Additionally, she holds a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in San Diego. Her extensive clinical experience includes practice at the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guangzhou Municipal Hospital, and Beijing Mentougou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in China, where she gained profound expertise and hands-on experience.

Since 2017, Dr. Li has actively participated in and led numerous acupuncture public outreach initiatives, organizing and promoting specialized continuing education training programs for acupuncture professionals, fostering the growth of many skilled practitioners. She has also been deeply involved in acupuncture legislation efforts in New York State, previously serving as the 12th Deputy Minister of Public Relations and the 13th Minister of Legislative Affairs for the United Alliance of New York State Licensed Acupuncturists (UANYSLA), making significant contributions to policy development and industry advancement.

Dr. Li remains dedicated to providing high-quality treatment services and professional expertise while focusing on team building and market expansion. In addition to her private practice, she actively engages in community acupuncture volunteer services, striving to make acupuncture accessible to a wider population. Due to her outstanding professional contributions and social impact, she has been recognized and commended multiple times by U.S. Congress members, the New York State Assembly, and the New York City Council. With her expertise, leadership, and commitment to social responsibility, Dr. Li continues to propel the acupuncture industry toward higher standards and broader recognition.

LiBiao Jiao

Dr. Jiao is a licensed acupuncturist and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practitioner in New York State. He holds degrees in Western and Chinese pharmacy and an undergraduate and master’s degree in acupuncture. Additionally, he earned a Doctor of Medicine degree in acupuncture and tuina from Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He is an internationally licensed TCM physician and a disciple of Professor Zhang Jin, a representative inheritor of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage “Traditional Chinese Acupuncture Project.”

Dr. Jiao began studying qigong, tai chi, and traditional Chinese medicine at the age of seven under the tutelage of his father and several renowned martial arts masters. He has worked at the Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine’s Affiliated Orthopedic Hospital and the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Complex Diseases Outpatient Department. Later, he served as a special coach in the Physical Education Department of South China Normal University and established a specialized outpatient clinic at the Zhuhai Gongbei Port in China. After moving to the United States, he founded the New York Natural Acupuncture Clinic and the Jiao Libiao TCM Acupuncture Clinic, accumulating over 30 years of clinical practice experience.

Dr. Jiao has been actively involved in public welfare activities for over 12 years. He has served as the Public Relations Minister, Vice President, and Secretary-General of the United Acupuncturists of New York State Licensed Acupuncturists (UANYSLA), participating in union management and leadership team efforts, including organizing community free clinics and large academic conferences. He and his team compiled the 22nd and 25th-anniversary commemorative issues of the union, the proceedings of the 2021 International Acupuncture Academic Symposium of the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS) held in the United States, and a unique collection of clinical experience for the 25th anniversary, serving as editor-in-chief. He has frequently presented and published professional papers at academic conferences. He has been appointed as a distinguished researcher at the Sino-American Acupuncture Rehabilitation Research Institute’s Center for Integrated and Optimized Medicine at Wenzhou Medical University.

Dr. Jiao has consecutively received the Volunteer Award from UANYSLA, the Outstanding Community Service Award from U.S. Congresswoman Grace Meng, and in 2021, a congratulatory letter and the Presidential Volunteer Service Gold Medal personally signed by the U.S. President. In 2022, he was appointed as a Senior Advisor to UANYSLA.

Dr. Jiao is dedicated to clinical treatment, academic research, and education in the field, enhancing TCM acupuncture professionals’ clinical knowledge and skills. He is also committed to promoting the development of traditional Chinese medicine and the acupuncture industry.

Bin Cai

Dr. Cai holds a registered nurse license in NY. He is currently a teacher of the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a Committee member of the United Alliance of New York State Licensed Acupuncturists (UANYSLA), president of Fu’s Subcutaneous Needling Association of the Great New York （FSNANY）, board member of American Alliance for Professional Acupuncture Safety （AAPAS）, the Executive Council Member of the 2nd Board of Special Committee of Endocrine and Dose-response Relationship Study on Chinese Prescription of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies. He is also a Council Member of the 2nd Board of Specialty Committee of the Fu’s Subcutaneous Needling of the World Federation of the Chinese Medicine Societies.

Yemeng Chen

Dr. Chen is President of New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, President of the National Federation of Chinese TCM Organizations (NFCTCMO), Honorary President of Young American Acupuncturists of America, and the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Complementary Medicine & Alternative Healthcare. Dr. Chen has enthusiastically participated in numerous worldwide and nationwide activities in the Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine profession which include the following: Vice President of World Traditional Medicine Forum, Co-Chair of Education Working Committee of World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS), Executive Member of Presidium of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS), Vice-Director of Professional Committees of Sub-Optimal Health and TCM Translation. and Standing Council member of Education Steering Committee, WFCMS, and a Guest Professor in Beijing, Shanghai and Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Academy of Integrative Medicine in Fudan University. He was Chair of the Accreditation Commission of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) and Vice Chair of the New York State Board for Acupuncture, appointed by the New York State Education Department. Dr. Chen was a recipient of Pearl Wisdom Award by Acupuncture Society of New York (ASNY) (2015), Sailing Award for International Exchange of Traditional Chinese Medicine by World Federation of TCM Services and Trade (2020), and Herald Long Island Excellence in Healthcare Awards (2022). He is on the biographic record of Who’s Who in America (2023-2024) as a Top Professional and Top Executive.

He has participated in clinical research on acupuncture for several decades and published 64 research papers in various medical journals in different countries. He has also published The Effectiveness of Acupuncture Treatment on Various Diseases (1990) and Guide of Consulting Acupuncture (1994) and in 1992 he participated in writing two large-scale reference works: New Edition of Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion and Complete Works of Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion. He is also a co-author of other seven books such as Diversification of Acupuncture Practice in the U.S. (2016), Nutrition & Integrative Medicine: A Primer for Clinicians (2018), Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion (Forth Edition in 2019), and Overview of World Chinese Medicine Education (2019). He has been a Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Chief Translator in English edition of Diagnostics in Chinese Medicine, World Textbook Series for Chinese Medicine Core Curriculum (2019), and one of three Editors-in-Chief of Chinese Medicine Diagnostics, English Textbook Series of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (2019). Dr. Chen has been a reviewer of ICD-11 TM Code and Chinese medicine Terminology invited by World Health Organization (WHO).

He once worked as an instructor in the former Shanghai Medical University — now known as Fudan University — and practiced as a physician in the affiliated Huashan Hospital. During his time at the hospital, he received extensive clinical experience through his mentor, the well-known Prof. You-An Fang. Fang’s Acupuncture is now on the Shanghai Municipal Government Intangible Cultural Inheritage List. Clinically, Dr. Chen is specialized wind-related disorders in TCM such as neurological diseases and mental-emotional diseases. He was the first to completely proposed vascular dementia as effective indication of acupuncture and the classification of Channel Sinews syndromes for whiplash injuries in the neck.

Rongsheng Lin

Dr. Rongsheng Lin is a renowned expert in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Acupuncture in New York, USA. He is a Chief Physician and Ph.D. advisor. He graduated from Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and earned his Ph.D. in the United States. Before moving to the U.S., he served as a TCM acupuncturist in the VIP outpatient department of Fujian Provincial Hospital.

He co-authored “TCM Treatment of Rheumatic Diseases,” developed specialized acupuncture methods for pollen allergies and various allergic diseases, achieving significant clinical success and acclaim in the American TCM community. He also co-edited “Non-Drug Therapies in Chinese Medicine.” Dr. Lin has been invited to provide consultations for leaders from various countries and to speak at numerous international forums, including United Nations NGO organizations, the Economic and Social Council, UNESCO, and WHO Executive Board meetings, where he has promoted the global development of TCM acupuncture and highlighted its benefits in disease prevention and treatment.

Hong Su

Dr. Su Hong, NY & CT License Acupuncturist, NCCAOM Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine Certificate, has practiced Chinese medicine acupuncture clinics in New York/Connecticut since 1997. She is the 6th president of the American of Traditional Chinese Medicine Society (ATCMS), president of the American Alumni Association of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Graduated from Fujian and Guangzhou U. of Chinese Medicine, Dr. Su received her Chinese Medicine degree, Master of science and PhD of Acupuncture. She was a doctor at Guangdong Provincial Chinese Hospital, did basic cardiovascular molecular biology research at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, and participated in the publication of dozens of articles on the molecular biology of cardiomyocytes. She was a lecturer in Chinese medicine at Pacific Oriental Medical College, an acupuncturist in charge of the substance abuse program at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. She obtained the Hong Kong Beauty Certificate and the American Acupuncture facial rejuvenation Certificate. has gained experience in acupuncture facial rejuvenation during her practice. She also is co-chief editor of the book: A Doctor’s recommended health care treasure book for facial rejuvenation.

Bin Xu

Dr. Xu obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in medicine from Harbin Medical University in China and earned his diploma in acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine from Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine. Early in his career, he attended Japan and received his M.D. from Kanazawa Medical University. After coming to the United States, Dr. Xu completed his postdoctoral studies at the School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. He own the Education Commission Foreign Medical Graduates Certificate since 1996.

Since 1996, Dr. Xu has been a clinical professor at the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, dedicating himself to the development and education of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. He regularly hosts big events of academic seminars and specialized training courses. Dr. Xu practices acupuncture in Long Island, New York; he holds an NCCAOM certificate and a New York State acupuncture license. Additionally, he is a member of the 10th Executive Committee of the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS) in New York.

Dr. Xu hopes to contribute to the development of the acupuncture industry by training more professionals in traditional Chinese medicine.

Guanhu Yang

Dr. Yang graduated from Zhejiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1985 and was admitted to Nanjing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine to pursue graduate studies in febrile disease the same year. From 1987 to 1993, he served as a lecturer in the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical College. In 1993, he was awarded the Sasakawa Medical Scholarship and was sent by the Ministry of Health to Japan’s Toyama Medical and Pharmaceutical University to research diabetes. Two years later, he transferred to Kanazawa Medical University’s Department of Pulmonology and earned a PhD in Medicine.

In 1999, he went to the Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center in the United States to conduct postdoctoral research in Pulmonary Biology. From 2005 to 2009, he served as the president of the SHI Acupuncture School in Ohio. He is currently a clinical professor at the Ohio University College of Medicine, a professor and doctoral supervisor at Macau University of Science and Technology, and a guest professor at several universities of traditional Chinese medicine worldwide.
He is also the president of the American Society of Luo disease, vice president of the American Society of Chinese Medicine, and vice president of several world professional committees. He holds acupuncture licenses in Ohio, New York, Maryland, and Virginia and owns two traditional Chinese medicine clinics.
Guanhu serves as a peer reviewer and editorial board member for several SCI journals, has edited or co-edited 13 books on traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicine, published over 130 papers, and has delivered numerous lectures at prestigious forums such as the Harvard Chinese Medicine Symposium.

Yuqing Zhang

Yuqing Zhang, MD, PhD, is a licensed physician and acupuncturist in the state of New York with many decades of experience in China, Japan, and the United States. He obtained his MD degree from Norman Bethune College of Medicine, Jilin University in China and then his PhD from Gifu University School of Medicine in Japan.

In China, he completed residencies in Anesthesiology and Surgery and then worked as a thoracic surgeon handling complex cases and frequent operations. He trained in residencies for Family Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Nuclear Medicine at SUNY Buffalo, and Radiology at the reputable Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.

Dr. Zhang also obtained Acupuncture Certification from SUNY Downstate Medical Center and has years of experience practicing acupuncture in the New York community. He combines decades of experience as a surgeon, radiologist, and family physician in China and the United States to serve his patients with care, quality, and dedication. He is also an Attending at Flushing Hospital Medical Center with Affiliate Status Privileges.

Publications that Dr. Zhang has researched and written include those in the fields of oncology, experimental surgery, thoracic surgery, cardiovascular surgery, nuclear medicine, and neuroscience in China, the US, and Japan.

Dr. Jiao is a licensed acupuncturist and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practitioner in New York State. He holds degrees in Western and Chinese pharmacy and an undergraduate and master’s degree in acupuncture. Additionally, he earned a Doctor of Medicine degree in acupuncture and tuina from Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He is an internationally licensed TCM physician and a disciple of Professor Zhang Jin, a representative inheritor of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage “Traditional Chinese Acupuncture Project.”

Dr. Jiao began studying qigong, tai chi, and traditional Chinese medicine at the age of seven under the tutelage of his father and several renowned martial arts masters. He has worked at the Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine’s Affiliated Orthopedic Hospital and the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Complex Diseases Outpatient Department. Later, he served as a special coach in the Physical Education Department of South China Normal University and established a specialized outpatient clinic at the Zhuhai Gongbei Port in China. After moving to the United States, he founded the New York Natural Acupuncture Clinic and the Jiao Libiao TCM Acupuncture Clinic, accumulating over 30 years of clinical practice experience.

Dr. Jiao has been actively involved in public welfare activities for over 12 years. He has served as the Public Relations Minister, Vice President, and Secretary-General of the United Acupuncturists of New York State Licensed Acupuncturists (UANYSLA), participating in union management and leadership team efforts, including organizing community free clinics and large academic conferences. He and his team compiled the 22nd and 25th-anniversary commemorative issues of the union, the proceedings of the 2021 International Acupuncture Academic Symposium of the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS) held in the United States, and a unique collection of clinical experience for the 25th anniversary, serving as editor-in-chief. He has frequently presented and published professional papers at academic conferences. He has been appointed as a distinguished researcher at the Sino-American Acupuncture Rehabilitation Research Institute’s Center for Integrated and Optimized Medicine at Wenzhou Medical University.

Dr. Jiao has consecutively received the Volunteer Award from UANYSLA, the Outstanding Community Service Award from U.S. Congresswoman Grace Meng, and in 2021, a congratulatory letter and the Presidential Volunteer Service Gold Medal personally signed by the U.S. President. In 2022, he was appointed as a Senior Advisor to UANYSLA.

Dr. Jiao is dedicated to clinical treatment, academic research, and education in the field, enhancing TCM acupuncture professionals’ clinical knowledge and skills. He is also committed to promoting the development of traditional Chinese medicine and the acupuncture industry.

Dr. Li, Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Licensed Acupuncturist in New York State, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioner, and NCCAOM-certified Oriental Medicine Diplomate. She currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Acupuncture of America Independent Practice Association (AOAIPA) and the Clinical Teaching Director at the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (NYCTCM). With her exceptional leadership and industry insights, Dr. Li leads her team in driving innovation and development in the acupuncture field, expanding market influence, enhancing community awareness of acupuncture’s efficacy, and striving to standardize and professionalize acupuncture therapy for a broader audience.

Dr. Li graduated with distinction from the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (NYCTCM), earning both a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and a Master’s degree in Chinese Herbal Medicine. Additionally, she holds a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in San Diego. Her extensive clinical experience includes practice at the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guangzhou Municipal Hospital, and Beijing Mentougou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in China, where she gained profound expertise and hands-on experience.

Since 2017, Dr. Li has actively participated in and led numerous acupuncture public outreach initiatives, organizing and promoting specialized continuing education training programs for acupuncture professionals, fostering the growth of many skilled practitioners. She has also been deeply involved in acupuncture legislation efforts in New York State, previously serving as the 12th Deputy Minister of Public Relations and the 13th Minister of Legislative Affairs for the United Alliance of New York State Licensed Acupuncturists (UANYSLA), making significant contributions to policy development and industry advancement.

KePing Du

Dr. Du has been a Licensed Acupuncturist in private practice for more than 24 years in New York, where she manages the health care of patients with Acupuncture in Manhattan, Queens, and Long Island. She was the Vice President of the United Alliance of NYS Licensed Acupuncturists, the past Director of Insurance of UANYSLA, and the past Treasurer of UANYSLA.

Before joining AOAIPA, Dr. Du served many years as the Chief Financial Officer at a medical device company licensed under Medicare and Medicaid. She is proficient in Medicare and Medicaid policies and guidelines governing the healthcare system. In addition to her extensive experience, she possesses multiple state licenses in health and life insurance, providing her with comprehensive knowledge of the relevant laws and regulations in financial and fiscal management.

She has worked for many years in various New York City community health facilities, providing health care services to the community, including the Rehabilitation Department at North General Hospital, the Far Rockaway Nursing Home, and the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, which provides home care to patients.

She is a former Board Director of the first Head Acupuncture Professional Committee of the World Federation of Acupuncture & Moxibustion Societies and the former Board director of the third Standing Committee of Orthopedics and Traumatology Professional Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies.

Dr. Du is a Senior Researcher at the Integrative & Optimized Medicine Research Center of China-US Institute for Acupuncture and Rehabilitation, Wenzhou Medical University. Dr. Du graduated from The Tri-States College of Acupuncture with bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Acupuncture; and graduated from the Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine with PhD in Combination Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Rehabilitation. Dr. Du is a NCCAOM BOARD-CERTIFIED Licensed Acupuncturist. In 2012, Dr. Du obtained the International Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctorate (CMD) license from the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies. Dr. Du studied under Professor Jin Zhang(张缙), the lineage representative of Acupuncture & Moxibustion of Traditional Chinese Medicine, As inscribed in the UNESCO Human Intangible Cultural Heritage List of Masterpiece, and accepted Dr. Du as his disciple and lineage successor in 2013.

BingHui Guan

Binghui Guan is a licensed acupuncturist in New York State and currently serves as the Director of Legislative Affairs of the Acupuncture of America Independent Practice Association (AOAIPA).

She graduated from Sun Yat-Sen University in China in 1986, received a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from New York University (NYU) in 1989, and a Master of Acupuncture from Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York in 1999. She has also studied for a doctorate at Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Binghui Guan had worked in public administration for 11 years in the New York City Department of Mental Health. She has been running her own independent clinic EastWest Healing Arts and Acupuncture in Westchester County for over 25 years.

She holds the qualification of International Chief Physician of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies and the qualification of “Focusing-Oriented Practitioner” of the International Focusing Institute. She served as a training coach in the New York Indigenous Focusing-Oriented Complex Trauma Training Course for 3 years. She also taught Focusing Acupuncture in Tri-State College of Acupuncture and New York College TCM. Binghui Guan is a registered disciple of Professor Zhang Jin, the representative of the “Chinese Acupuncture” of the UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Binghui Guan had served as the Secretary General and Legislative Director of the United Alliance of New York State Licensed Acupuncturists (UANYSLA). She is currently the Vice President of the Legislative Affairs of the UANYSLA . She is enthusiastic about public welfare and actively participates in the work of the United Alliance of New York State Licensed Acupuncturists (UANYSLA) since 2006. She has organized members to lobby Congress many times to promote the US acupuncture legislation. She has been also active in the acupuncture legislative affairs in New York State. At the national level, she serves as a board member of American Alliance for Professional Acupuncture Safety (AAPAS) which is composed of major Chinese acupuncture organizations and schools in the United States.

Binghui has devoted half of her life to improving the status of acupuncture in the United States. Through unremitting efforts to raise awareness, advocate for professionals, and engage in legislative changes, she hopes to aid fellow acupuncturists in their recognition by health insurance companies in the United States. Binghui hopes that through these changes, more and more people will benefit from this ancient and effective treatment method.

Ben Wong

Ben Wong, an IT professional with over two decades of experience in application development and e-commerce operations management. Since launching his career in 2000, Ben has founded and managed multiple IT and e-commerce enterprises. In parallel to his IT career, Ben has pursued a passion for healthcare, obtaining an Associate Degree in Massage Therapy from ASA College and a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture from the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where he graduated with honors.

His commitment to healthcare extends into his considerable efforts to promote Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Ben has been a driving force behind several public welfare initiatives, providing extensive technical support and spearheading numerous continuing education courses in TCM. His contributions also include serving as Vice Chairman of the American Acupuncture Association, where he oversaw the development of membership systems and online continuing education programs in TCM.

With a unique blend of skills in IT, marketing, business management, and healthcare, Ben is committed to leveraging his knowledge to further the reach and understanding of Traditional Chinese Medicine, enabling more people to benefit from its therapeutic effects and holistic wisdom.

Ke Zhang

She has worked in the healthcare field for more than 30 years and has extensive clinical and clinic management experience. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree in China, she worked as a pharmacist in China for three years. She then obtained a Master of Science in Acupuncture from the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Houston, Texas.

She worked for two years in a medical rehabilitation center and nursing home in Bellevue, Washington. In 1999, she joined the rehabilitation medical team in New York as an acupuncturist and has been working there for 25 years. She received her MBA from the University of Connecticut Bridgeport in 2005 and has excellent communication, coordination, and management skills. She founded Yushe Wellness Center in Manhattan, providing professional services in Chinese medicine and acupuncture, organizing various fitness activities and health lectures, and promoting using Chinese medicine concepts to release stress and balance life. Her rich experience enables her to improve team efficiency and organize events and public relations. She has accumulated decades of practical and clinical management experience. She values serving patients, communicating with others, and obtaining meaningful activities and development opportunities for the team.
She also serves as a member of the 12th and 13th Board of the United Alliance of New York State Licensed Acupuncturists (UANYSLA) and a member of the World Federation of Acupuncture Societies (WFAS).

Qiong Zeng

Dr. Qiong Zeng, Dpl.Ac. L.Ac. Ph.D.. over 20 years of dedicated integrative medicine clinic practice and translational research professional. Dr. Zeng completed her Ph.D. training from Peking University Health Science Center (former Beijing Medical University) on 2004. Dr. Zeng worked in the Guangdong Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, 2nd Clinical College of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine as attending physician and finished her respiratory medicine fellowship training on 2007. Dr. Zeng worked in Stony Brook University, Feinstein Institutes of Medical Research, Albert Einstein College of Medicine as research fellow and faculty scientist, Dr. Zeng has solid scientific publication record and delivery over 20 tracking record of peer-journals & book chapters and conference proceedings.

Dr. Zeng is the awardee, co-principal Investigator of the Pilot Project of IMPOWR-ME (RM1DA055437) since 2023 in the Division of General Internal Medicine of Montefiore Medical Center.

Chong Zhao

Chong Zhao is a licensed acupuncturist and massage therapist in New York. Born into a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practitioner family, his father has operated a TCM massage school in China for over 20 years. Immersed in this environment from a young age, Chong Zhao began assisting with teaching and clinical training at his father’s massage school while still in high school. He later pursued his studies in Shandong, where he contributed to a national research project led by Professor Qiao Jianjun, focused on the massage technique for treating perennial allergic rhinitis. After graduating, he continued his advanced studies under the guidance of several renowned TCM experts. In 2009, Chong Zhao joined a medical team to support infrastructure development in The Gambia, where he provided acupuncture and massage treatments to high-ranking officials, including Lang Tombong Tamba (Chief of Defense Staff) and Lamin Kaba Bajo (Minister of Energy). He later immigrated to the United States and earned a master’s degree from the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

In addition to his clinical practice, Chong Zhao actively participates in various TCM outreach initiatives as a volunteer. He is dedicated to raising public awareness of acupuncture and TCM treatments, using his efforts to help more people understand the vital role TCM can play in health management. Chong Zhao frequently educates different groups on simple TCM self-care techniques and shares how to incorporate massage and dietary therapy into daily life to prevent illness and improve overall well-being.

Howard Yu

Howard Yu is an experienced licensed acupuncturist specializing in traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture therapies, and medical billing. Dr. Yu holds massage therapy licenses in Georgia and Virginia and acupuncture licenses in Maryland and New York.
