AOAIPA Participates in Senator John Liu’s Health Fair — On-Site Acupuncture Yields Remarkable Results!

On the afternoon of June 20, 2025, New York State Senator John Liu hosted a successful Community Health and Wellness Fair at the Bland Houses Community Center in Flushing. Co-organized with the BLAND Tenants Association, the event brought together organizations such as United Way, Charles B. Wang Community Health Center, Weill Cornell Imaging, and the Association of Chinese American Physicians to provide residents with free health screenings, consultations, and wellness services.

The Acupuncture of America IPA (AOAIPA) proudly participated in the event by offering free acupuncture services and TCM health consultations. Our booth attracted continuous foot traffic throughout the afternoon. The AOAIPA clinical team not only provided in-depth information about the benefits of Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture but also performed on-the-spot treatments for residents suffering from neck and shoulder pain, muscle tension, and stress-related fatigue.

One of the most memorable moments came when a resident, who had been unable to lift his arm for days due to shoulder pain, received just 10 minutes of acupuncture and experienced over 60% improvement in pain and mobility. He was amazed by the results and expressed great interest in learning more about acupuncture.

This event once again demonstrated the unique value of acupuncture as a non-pharmacological therapy in community healthcare. AOAIPA remains committed to advancing the accessibility, standardization, and professional development of acupuncture services to benefit even more members of our community.
